Rain II

The winds come crashing

down, heavily pregnant clouds

hang around. Glistening water drops

hit the windscreen, wipers dance in futility.

Filled with too much love it falls, falls, falls and

fills the sun baked dry walls cracked in summer. Filled

with too much love, it goes ahead and fills all the streets

and destroys all it had to mend. Its love leaves a mess behind.

IV

how soft it falls,

how sleek it spills,

how cold to touch,

how unseemly bleak.

but then, reverberating

softly like a morning prayer,

it paints a picture

in the last of the season evening

and a September morning

slips in.
